Kuda renggong or (Renggong horse) is a typical art Sundanese (West Java), which displays 1-4 horses that can be danced to the music. Art Renggong horse or horses previously called "Igel" because it could "ngigel" or (dancing) is said to grow and expand in the community Cikurubuk Village, District Two fruit, Sumedang District. At that time (around 1880's) there was a boy named Sipan is the habit of observing the behavior of his own horses called the Cengek and the Dengkek. From his observations, he concluded that the horse can be trained to follow the movements desired by humans.

Exercises performed for three consecutive months until the horse becomes accustomed to hear the musical accompaniment and every dance he would by itself.
Seeing the success of Sipan in training his horses 'ngarenggong' or (dancing) makes Aria Surya Atmadja Prince, who was serving as regent Sumedang be interested and instructed him to train his horses imported directly from the island of Sumbawa.
